Gilpin G. Wigington

Nebraska Broker’s Licenses #20200211
FAA UAS Drone Pilot License #4340090

In the early 2000’s Gil originally got his start in real estate industry when he and his wife started purchasing foreclosed homes with the intent to rehab and sell the properties for a secondary income. After several successful transactions he decided investing in real estate would be his full-time career path. In 2006 he and his wife purchased a mobile home park in Schuyler, Nebraska. The park was comprised of 33 park owned homes and 7 shop bays in a steel commercial building. Since that first purchase, Gil and his wife have purchased several other residential rental properties.

Additionally, in 2007 he obtained his Nebraska Real Estate Salesperson License and began selling for Colfax County Auctions & Realty. As the owners of Colfax County Auctions & Realty announced their plans for retirement in 2009, Gil obtained his Nebraska Real Estate Broker’s License and created C&G Realty, Inc.

Since those early days of rehabbing homes, Gil has stayed heavily involved in real estate, even when he wasn't selling property for the public. In August 2019, a deal was struck to sell the mobile home park he had owned, and personally managed, for 13 successful years.

Today, as the owner of Mid-Plains Land & Realty, Inc. Gil's mission is to ensure his client’s goals are met as he grows his business. The difference between a good agent, and an outstanding agent, is having the ability to see both sides of the transaction through experience, and Gil puts that ability to work for every client.

Colten W. Wigington

Nebraska Salesperson's License #20200428

Colten Wigington was born and raised in Schuyler Nebraska. He graduated high school from North Bend Central in 2017 where he participated in Ag, Band, One Acts and Speech. After graduation he moved to Omaha where he pursued his passion for music by working at Guitar Center and joined a local Omaha band. He plays guitar, drums, and a bit of keyboard and harmonica.

He learned many things about sales while working at Guitar Center. This enabled him to help his customers find exactly what they needed. If there was something to be learned about a new guitar, or piece of equipment that was coming out, he learned and used it. This allowed him to keep his customers informed about his inventory. To Colten, this made him an effective salesperson and helped him connect with his clients on a personal level.

Today Colten is applying that same concept to all his real estate clients. His desire to thoroughly know the market and give his clients an honest and informed opinion is his number one goal.

In his personal time Colten still enjoys playing music but has also taken up learning about aviation. He is working on getting his private pilot’s license and loves every moment of it.
