In October 2006, Gil and Colene Wigington took a leap of faith and purchased Sunset Acres Mobile Home Park in Schuyler, Nebraska.
What started as an investment quickly became a hands-on journey in community building. Over the next 13 years, they rolled up their sleeves to turn the park around—removing delinquent tenants, tackling much-needed capital improvements, and steadily bringing stability to Sunset Acres.
In the fall of 2019, they sold the park as an off-market sale, personally seller-financing 88% of the transaction. Their humble start and years of experience gave them the owner/operator perspective that now guides every conversation and piece of advice Mid-Plains Land & Realty shares with clients.
