Mid-Plains Land & Realty was founded by owners and operators with firsthand experience in the Midwest mobile home park industry.
In 2006, Gil and Colene Wigington acquired Sunset Acres Mobile Home Park in Schuyler, Nebraska, gaining years of hands-on experience in park operations, capital improvements, tenant management, and long-term community stabilization.
That owner/operator perspective now shapes every aspect of Mid-Plains Land & Realty, from valuations and acquisitions to brokerage and market analysis across the Midwest.
Mid-Plains Land & Realty, Inc. was originally established in 2020 as a traditional small-town real estate office in Schuyler, Nebraska.
As the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the real estate industry, the original vision for Mid-Plains quickly changed, and the company ultimately closed in 2021.
In 2025, Mid-Plains Land & Realty was re-launched with a completely different focus of building a specialized brokerage dedicated exclusively to the mobile home park industry across the Midwest.
Today, Mid-Plains combines firsthand owner/operator experience, proprietary market data, and regional market knowledge to assist mobile home park owners, buyers, and investors throughout Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and the surrounding Midwest.
