Our Mid-Plains History

Established in 2020, Mid-Plains Land & Realty, Inc. was originally the vision of Gil Wigington and two additional stakeholders.
Just as Mid-Plains Land & Realty was gearing up to open, the COVID-19 pandemic struck the Midwest. Lenders throughout Nebraska communities closed their doors to the public and recruiting agents across the state became almost impossible.
With so much uncertainty at the time, the original vision for Mid-Plains Land & Realty quickly diminished and eventually closed in 2021.  
Today, the vision for Mid-Plains Land & Realty is much different than back in 2020.
Re-opening in 2025 under the sole ownership and management of Gil Wigington and his wife Colene, Mid-Plains Land & Realty is committed to remaining a family-owned brokerage dedicated to building personal relationships with each client.
